SweetBabyCheezits "Great line, Glad. Hope alls well with you way over yonder."
Good to see you around. I don't post much now-days - but then I never did by some standards.
Hope your in-laws are behaving themselves and you are keeping well.
Glad.

Re: What does the society have to say about neanderthal man?
They look up to him - he is called Don Alden Adams.
i know that there is no mention of any birthday celebrations in the bible besides the two which were celebrated by non-believers.
and it just so happened that on each of these events, someone died (one non-believer and one believer).
but does it mean that just because the bible mentions these two events, that all birthday celebrations are forbidden?
Everything that might bring joy and pleasure into life is forbidden by the god of the bible. Lets face it, he was a miserable bugger who got his jollies from punishing and smiting people who were just trying to have a little fun.
This and is why fun loving modern Christians have abandoned the bible and decided to make up their own beliefs and rules on an as need individual basis. I thoroughly agree with this approach as I have been making it up as I go along ever since I escaped the Watchtower.
In truth there is freedom.
i was hit by this topic after doing reaserch in the old testament.
there are eleven different sexual relationships that are directly condemed in the old testament.
strikingly your daugher and your niece are not listed.
If I may interject for a moment! The most important commandment is the often unquoted eleventh commandment. ‘Do not get caught.’ True to its nature it was never caught on papyrus.
If this commandment is adhered to, no penalties are exacted on those seeking to live a rich and enjoyable life at the expense of others.
Hope this helps.
a born ins challenge to develop a post cult personality.. mentally leaving the organization can be traumatic for a number of reasons.
one of the biggest challenges for born-ins in finding their pre cult personality is that our entire personalities are based on the religion.
there is no such thing as a pre cult personality for us.
John_Mann "The very pain is to live in a world you not raised to live in. They promised that we never grow old in this "system of things". Willing or not I think that meme will be with us forever in our subconscience."
That sums it up perfectly.
(By the way my father brought someone called John Mann into the religion. I was also about 4 at the time and lived in London. Maybe not your father but it made me think)
With regard to the opening post of this thread - although our mind is conditioned by what we are told to believe when young, we can rebel and break out of the mental prison we have been held in. Our natural personality will come through and flourish once we are free, if we allow it to.
i was reading an article recently where a street preacher is on trial for yelling at gay people that they will burn in hell.
he's arguing for freedom of speech.
whether or not that is within his rights is not really my concern here.
It is true that the intention of Christians that still believe the Bible, is to threaten sinners like myself. They take warning non-believers of their god's vengeance very seriously. The good news is that no one else does.
Christians are simply waving cardboard swords. It is all part of the costume drama they are caught up in. See it as harmless entertainment. It's easy for me to be unmoved by such threats - after all, when was a gladiator ever scared of a Christian?
Welcome back Pams Girl. I have missed you more than I miss Caesar. Hope someone hands in the 2 stone you have lost.
I know you live in Wales which is my favourite place to escape to. I often stay in Crickhowell or near there. Walking in the Welsh hills and mountains is unbeatable.
the insidious bind the watchtower religion places on their members is unconscionable.. holding family and friends "hostage" as an extortion strategy may be their most potent weapon of enforced conformity.. .
in effect, like an armed criminal who points a gun at you and threatens "your money or your life", the watchtower leadership.
holds the power to separate dissenting members from those whom they most cherish.
The "gun" is the SHUN - is a great expression. It only works if members that want to leave, give in to the fear of the threat.
My family Fired the gun but it blew up in their faces. Other family members left and sided with me. The sad baskets left behind are the losers. They are dying like flies while the apostate side are thriving.
Perhaps my gods are more powerful than theirs? Hail Caesar!
james harrison has magical blood.. specifically, his blood contains an extremely rare enzyme that can be used to treat babies dying of rhesus disease.
if you've never heard of that disease and figure it's not a big deal, well, wait for the numbers.. harrison, being a generous type, has donated his rare, life-saving blood roughly 1,000 times over 56 years.
this has saved the lives of--seriously, you're not going to believe this--over two million babies around the world.. .
Thanks for this article Terry. I have printed off a few copies and sent them anonymously to Jehovah's Witnesses who have shunned me for many years, asking them to pass it on.
I added a footnote of your comment, that if this man had been a Jehovah's Witness, 2 million babies would be dead!
They may suspect it is me but they can never be sure. This should add to their paranoia - on the other hand it may make them think but that is long shot, longer in fact than a Watchtower generation.
